12. Purple Flowers

I'm at my mom's house, this time I brought my nail stuff. I probably won't post again for a little but because I have a midterm on Thursday & a ton of homework. :( But I have this for you! I used American Apparel - Butter. I love American Apparel's bottles. Their brushes are very long and sometimes are a little hard to work with, but the formula and the application is great. Here are my nails:

I used these holo flat flowers I bought on sale at Sally's yesterday and rhinestones from Daiso :)

Have a great weekend!

Nakie Nails

Here are my nails at their natural state. Pretty yellow and gross... I also filed my nails down and now they're curved instead of square. Square nails are sometimes too impractical, especially since I wear contacts.

I'm holding Essie - Demure Vixen if you are wondering.

10. Hottie French

I didn't have enough time to re-do my mani so I decided instead to just add Sinful Colors - Hottie and make a french tip. It's not very pretty since I did this in a rush, but I wanted to show you guys anyways incase you were looking for some ideas. I used an Art Club striper with it also, I don't know what the name of the color is because I bought it at Ross in a pack.

I've been getting a few paper cuts at work, so excuse the cut :x

Here's what I used:

I really like Sinful Colors' glitters because they have holo & colored glitter and have sheer colored bases. They're really great for layering. Also Art Club stripers work well for me, I once tried Sally's Beauty Supply Stripers and the brush was ick.

9. Take Me to Your Chateau

I've had a cold these past few days, I am getting better but I couldn't do my nail for awhile. Right now my nails are just plain Color Club - Take Me to Your Chateau. It was difficult to put on, I tried my best to do the thinnest coats as possible but there was still dragging. It took me 3 coats to get it somewhat even. But it is a very pretty color, I've been getting compliments all day!

I've also been at my mom's and none of my nail polish is there so it sucks. I'm at UW right now for the night then returning to my mom's tomorrow. I want to bring nail polish home but I have to take the bus and it's kind of a hassle. poooop.

Haul, Tutorial

I went to Bed, Bath, & Beyond after work on Friday. I haven't been there since they added nail polish (or was it always there?) but anyways here is what I got:

Essie - Turquoise & Caicos, Color Club - Take me to Your Chateau, Color Club - Fashion Addict, Art Club - Silver Glitter.

I really wanted CC - Take me to Your Chateau after seeing Chanel's Spring 2010 promo pics. I will probably use it next! I also wanted Art Club - Silver Glitter because UW Football season is coming up and my old silver glitter ran out last season :(

This week Polish Hoarder Disorder's had a challenge called Color Accent. This was my entry:

I wanted to do a tutorial on how I did this, just in case anyone was wondering :)

  1. Paint all of your nails with China Glaze - Recycle
  2. While the middle finger is still wet use 4 small pink rhinestones and make a square. I used the pointy end of an orange stick dipped in top coat to pick up the rhinestones.
  3. Use big clear (white, what would you call them?) rhinstones and outline the smaller ones.
  4. Paint the tips of your pointer and ring finger with Sinful Colors - I Miss You.
  5. Cover the french tip line with the same pink rhinestones you used for the middle finger, while I Miss You is still wet.
  6. Paint over China Glaze - Recycle with Sinful Colors - I Miss You on the thumb and pinky.
  7. Cover all fingers with Top Coat & make sure to use a lot over the rhinestones so they don't fall!

These are the things I used:

8. + Rhinestones

Twiggie is so hard to capture on camera, such a pain... My last post is closer to the real color. But anyways of course I couldn't have just a plain mani (I get bored and start decorating my nails), so I decided to use the new flower rhinestones and a nail striper. This is the creation:

& a close-up:

I love using rhinestone just because they're so easy to put on & they're sparkly. I love anything sparkly!

7. Twiggie

I didn't use any of the konad plates yet, whenever I experiment it's a big fail. It's really discouraging... I guess I just need to practice. Anyways I am wearing Color Club - Twiggie. It's a neon green that is also pastel. Does that makes sense? I'm not sure but it's one of my favorite greens!

Here is a close-up:

Today when I went to my internship my boss asked if I wanted this bottle of nail polish. This is the second bottle she's given to me. She's the best!!

This is OPI - At First Sight. It's very sheer I will probably use it for a pedi sometime soon.

Nail Art Supplies!

I made an order at wowsocool.com 2 Thursdays ago and finally got them on Monday! Here they are:

I got M45 (french tips w/ designs), M57 (animal prints, etc.), & M79 (dots & clouds, etc.) I'm really excited to use them, I was experimenting the other day and I kind of failed so hopefully next time goes more smoothly.. I also got nail stickers!

I decided on these pink & white rose stickers because my sorority's flower is the pink rose & my boyfriend's fraternity rose is the white rose. I'm thinking of using them during sorority recruitment, we'll see though.
After work today I stoped by this Japanese Dollar Store, Daiso, and bought some cute rhinestones.

Cute flower shapes!

& cute heart shapes!

I can't wait to use these all, I probably shouldn't use them all at once though... could look like a disaster. lol I'm painting my nails soon after I do some reading for school.

Thank you to all my new followers <3 I'm happy to see my blog is actually being read now! <3

edit: ahh sorry all these pics are blurry... I took them at night so I had to use a lamp and didn't use flash. They looked pretty clear from afar :x

6. Lady Gaga Nails FAIL

I tried to do nails like Lady Gaga's rhinestone mani... I attempted to make a heart with rhinestones and it ended up looking not like a heart. lol So this is what it ended up as:

I used China Glaze - Recycle and Sinful Colors - I Miss You. & here is a close-up:

Studying..

I've been studying for my accounting mid-term tomorrow so I haven't had the time to post my current mani... but I'm itching to post it. I'm at the library right now so I can't.. lol

In other news, I'm getting 3 konad plates in tomorrow! Yay! I won't be able to use them tomorrow though because I have fraternity live-in girl obligations & also a paper to write. I will be able to Tuesday night though! & I am going to post my current mani once I get out of this library! :)

5. Blinged Out Purple

I used Color Club - Pucci-licious, 3 coats, and added pink & purple rhinestones. :)

In other news, my best friend Wyman is in Hong Kong right now and I asked him to get me some GOSH nail polish & he found Rainbow & Gasoline! :) This is a picture he took:

They're so pretty! I won't see him until September though so I won't see these babies for awhile :(

4. HD Nails

For this mani, I used Sinful Colors - HD Nails. It was pretty streaky, so I used 3 coats. I really like this color, it has a hidden shimmer in it. I bought the stars and rhinestones at Daiso. I love that store for all of its cheap nail things!

I was playing with my nails today on the bus to work and chipped off a bit on my index finger.. opps.

3. NOTD

This is my first mani using konad on all my nails. It turned out okay, it wasn't perfect but I'm still practicing. I used 3 coats of China Glaze - For Audrey. It was opaque in 1 coat, but mine was streaky and on the thick side so I had to do 3 coats to fix it. Then I used China Glaze - Awaken for the flowers. I believe I used the M1 plate, but I'm not entirely sure...

This was pre-cleanup. I usually do my cleanup in the shower since it's less time consuming. I am hunting down a good brush for cleanup though. I bought a brush at the dollar store recently and it doesn't do a very good job, so stiljavascript:void(0)l hunting.

2. NOTD

Today's NOTD is 2 coats of China Glaze - Tree Hugger layered with 2 coats of Sinful Colors - Call You Later. I snagged a couple Sinful Colors for 99 cents with last week's Walgreens coupon and Call You Later was one of my favorites. It has dark green and gold sparkles. Soooo pretty!!

Sorry about the naked spots on my naked finger. My Tree Hugger hasn't been used for awhile so it thickened... poo. Nothing SV Thinner can't fix though!

4th of July Mani

This is my first post ever! Yay! Its not going to be a very long post either since I should be in bed, but I wanted to show you my 4th of July mani. This picture is pre-cleanup so please excuse my mess :x I'll post what I used later since I'm going to crawl into bed right after this.
